Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. So I obviously liked Cinder, cause here I am doing a review on Scarlet, book 2 in the Lunar Chronicles series. (Warning, this review will contain spoilers if you haven’t read Cinder, if you’ve read Cinder, then you will be okay to read this.)
So this book was basically was told from three different sides (not 3 different point of views, the whole book was told in third person, but the story moved around between three different people)
The first person was Scarlet. Scarlet’s grandmother went missing, and Scarlet wants to find her, so she does so with the help from a street fighter called Wolf.
The second person is Cinder. Cinder needs to escape from her cell in New Beijing before she is killed by the Lunar Queen. Then she needs to find the person who gave her to the Linh family in the first place, so that Cinder can find out if she really is Princess Selene. She goes on her journey with the help from another fugitive, Captain Thorne.
The third person is Prince/Emperor Kai. The story’s not told a whole lot from this side, but there is some. Basically Kai needs to find Cinder, so that the Lunar Queen can have her. Kai also needs to try and keep peace between Earth and Luna, because the Queen is threatening a war if she doesn’t have Cinder.
Ok, sorry that review was all over the place, but hopefully you get the gist of it. Overall I liked Cinder more than this book, but Scarlet was a pretty awesome character. I didn’t like Wolf though. Lol.
