The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. So I picked up this book, mainly just because the movie is coming out, and I don’t like to see the movie before I read the book. So I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this, because usually I don’t read books involving alien type things. I actually ended really liking this book though.
Summary: So basically this book was about how aliens, or The Others, were invading earth, but they were doing it in waves. When this book starts, the first 4 waves had already happened, and the 5th wave hadn’t happened yet. Cassie has lost her family except for her brother, but he was taken by the Others. Cassie needs to save her brother, and she may be able to do it with help from Evan Walker, a mysterious man who rescued her.
Opinion: This book was very good. Like I said before, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. The only thing I didn’t like was that I felt like the book ended and I still had too many questions. I understand authors often do that so that you read the sequel, but it was different for this book. It was like I didn’t have enough background information to fully understand this book. I needed more information, and that’s the only thing I didn’t like.
