Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. So I’m not really gonna give a plot summary for this book, because it might spoil you if you haven’t read the first book, so just know that this is the continuation of Mare Barrow’s story. So I’ve been waiting to read this book for like a whole year, so I had my hopes up pretty high, and I was super excited for it, cause I loved the first book in this series, Red Queen, and let me just say that I was not disappointed by this sequel. A lot of people said they thought this book was better than the first one, but I disagree. I thought Red Queen was better because of the world-building, and the amazing things that happen in it (I don’t want to say too much, cause I don’t want to spoil you), and Red Queen also had more romance in it, and I was really hoping for some relationship building in this book than I got. The plot was also somewhat slow at certain points, but I still enjoyed it. The character development wasn’t as good in this book either. I know it kinda sounds like this book was bad, but it wasn’t. It was really good, especially the ending. I highly recommend Victoria Aveyard’s work.
