It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

My Opinions:

So there’s not really anything to say without spoiling this book, other than the fact that this book was so brilliantly fantastic. The only thing that could’ve made this book better is if it was a 800 page novel. Haha. That’s all I really have to say without spoiling. So please, please, please, go read this book and come back and we can discuss! This discussion is basically just me listing random thoughts I had while reading this book. So if you have any comment on any particular thought of mine. Just let me know in the comments.

First, I loved all the crossovers where we saw stuff from the other books, with all the time traveling.

I loved the Trolley Car witch in this. HAHA, who would’ve guessed that she’s like a crazy witch. Lol, I just found that really funny.

I though it was really cool how Albus and Scorpious became friends. It just touched my heart, because everyone thought it was wrong for them to be friends, but Albus and Scorpious didn’t care.

I thought it was so funny how Scorpious liked Rose. I thought that was so cute, because in the beginning she wanted nothing to do with him. This was good for all those people out there who shipped Draco and Hermione.

I was kind of surprised Albus was a Slytherin, but honestly it fit his personality. And not all Slytherin’s are bad.

I felt bad for Albus. He just wasn’t exactly like his father, which isn’t a bad thing, but everyone seemed to think it was. I mean it has to be hard to live up to someone like Harry Potter.

I still don’t quite understand what Draco was trying to tell Harry about Scorpious’ parentage. Like is he Draco’s kid or not? I didn’t think that was super clear, so I’m a little confused still.

I felt so bad for Scorpious when his mom died, that had to be so sad.

I loved all the scenes with Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny. I love them all so much.

I thought it was really interesting that J.K.Rowling decided to have the Diggory’s play such a big role in this.

It really broke my heart every time Harry and Albus fought.

I thought Harry’s dreams were very intriguing. It was interesting how they all seemed to include Aunt Petunia.

Ron was so funny in this book, and I loved that so much.

The Polyjuice Potion scene was really funny. Lol, for some reason Albus just kept on kissing Hermione, and I just found that so funny.

I also loved that Hermione was the Minister for Magic. I’m so proud of her.

The bookshelf scene was also really cool with all the riddles. I’m interested to see how they do that on the stage.

The dynamic between Harry and Draco was really interesting in this book. I loved at the end though that they started working together to save their sons.

The Harry and Dumbledore scene made me cry. Where they were telling each other they loved each other. So beautifully touching.

I was really mad at Harry when he made Albus stay away from Scorpious. Come on Harry, you have to know that’s not gonna work. There were a few scenes like this that made me think that J.K. Rowling didn’t write most of this book. Harry just did some very non-Harry like things in this, and I think if Jo had written the whole thing it might’ve been different.

You know the more I thought about it, I honestly liked Scorpious more than Albus. I mean if anything, Scorpious is more the good Gryffindor one and Albus the mischievous Slytherin. I really liked the contrast between the two boys, and I’m glad it was switched up so that it wasn’t so cliché.

It made me so sad when Ron and Hermione were no longer married in the alternate time world things. But it was so heartbreaking cause even if they weren’t together you could still tell they waned to be. Which just goes to show that no matter what obstacle is thrown their way, Ron and Hermione’s love will still remain strong.

I really loved that scene when the “outlaw Hermione” confesses her love for Ron because they’re going to be killed by the Dementors, and then they die together. So heartbreaking.

It was so interesting to see Hermione as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Especially a mean one. I was not used to seeing Hermione be so mean. It hurt my heart.

I didn’t quite understand why Delphi was so set on Albus and Scorpious being friends again after Harry separated them?

I loved it when Ginny said, “Oh, it’s not my kitchen. Harry does most of the cooking.” I think it’s really funny that Harry cooks.

It really touched (and broke) my heart when Draco and Ginny were saying how they’d always envied Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s friendship.

l loved that Moaning Myrtle was in this book. I love her. Lol.

Omg, I died when Ron complimented “Professor Granger” (when they weren’t married) on her hair. HAHAHAHAHA.

And OMG the alternate time where Umbridge was headmistress, Harry was dead, and they were celebrating Voldemort Day. So sad, like I couldn’t even imagine.

I really like how Scorpious got help from Snape, and Snape said he was happy Albus carried his name. So beautiful.

HAHAHAHAHA the part where Harry confessed he was scared of pigeons. Oh gosh, I died. That was so random. Lol. Like why pigeons?

It really broke my heart when Ginny and Harry were talking, and she told him it was getting hard to forgive him. I totally cried.

Oh. My. Gosh. Delphi. Voldemort had a freaking daughter. With Belatrix Lestrange. My mind was completely blown. Like what?! Oh gosh, still can’t get over that. Like ewwwww.

The whole burned message in Harry’s baby blanket was just crazy. How do two young boys thing of something like that? And how on earth did they get that blanket off of baby Harry without Lily or James knowing?? Pretty sure Albus and Scorpious should be resorted into Ravenclaw. Lol.

Omg, I loved Professor McGonagall in this book. She is my queen.

I also loved that this whole thing like started and ended in Godric’s Hallow.

I was really surprised Draco had a Time-Turner. Very interesting that that ended up in the Malfoy family and not the Granger one.

There were so many beautiful, yet intense moments in this book that made me cry. 😦

It was really scary when Harry became Voldemort. *shivers*

It really broke my heart when everyone was there in Godric’s Hallow when Voldemort killed Harry’s parents, and they all just had to watch. *cries in a corner*

Oh man, I was sobbing when Hagrid came and got baby Harry. It was so bittersweet.

And the part where Harry was crying. Oh man, you know that if Harry is crying then so am I.

Overall this book was beautiful beyond words. It was happy, sad, intense, exciting, and basically everything that makes a Harry Potter book so fantastic. After a while you don’t even notice that this is written like a play. I still can’t believe it’s over. I loved it so much.
