Summary from Goodreads:
Devon Tennyson wouldn’t change a thing. She’s happy watching Friday night games from the bleachers, silently crushing on best friend Cas, and blissfully ignoring the future after high school. But the universe has other plans. It delivers Devon’s cousin Foster, an unrepentant social outlier with a surprising talent for football, and the obnoxiously superior and maddeningly attractive star running back, Ezra, right where she doesn’t want them: first into her P.E. class and then into every other aspect of her life.
This was such a beautiful story of a girl and how she learned to love what she least expected to. This story had an adorable, unexpected romance that I loved so much, and it had such a beautiful lesson about life, family, and friends. This wasn’t your typical romance contemporary. This story was so much deeper than that, and I loved it. I fell in love with all the characters. Devon’s story taught me important lessons about life and not judging people for their outward appearance, cause we don’t always know what’s going on in their personal lives.
Emma Mills is a fantastic writer, and this book was amazing, especially considering it was her debut book. There were so many good lines and messages in this book that I just adored. I was so captivated by this story, and I’m dying for more to read from this incredible author. I highly recommend this book. 🙂
